Genre

The day ZDF, the Second German Television service, began broadcasting was also the first stage in the meteoric rise of six extraordinary comedians: THE LITTLE MAINZ MEN, named after Mainz, the home of ZDF. That was more than 40 years ago, and their success continues today with no end in sight.

In 1990 THE LITTLE MAINZ MEN were relaunched with new outfits. Since then a growing number of fans have taken delight in the madcap antics of insatiable Anton, hard-working Berti, musical Conni, clever Det, sporty Fritzchen and mischievous Edi. There's no question about it, THE LITTLE MAINZ MEN have carved out a niche for themselves, and these days they also make appearances on a whole range of different products.

THE LITTLE MAINZ MEN are produced by NFP Animation Film GmbH, NFP for short. Still unmistakably the work of Wolf Gerlach, their creator and developer, there are now approaching 7500 LITTLE MAINZ MEN films, each lasting between 2-10 seconds, available. In addition we have 2 longer series of 12 episodes, each one minute.
