"My Husband and his Mothers" is the star-studded film version of the hilarious novel "Baby Come Back" by the celebrity British writer Maeve Haran.

Molly would be delighted to enjoy family life with husband Joe and baby Thomas if it weren‘t for the fact that Joe seems distracted these days. Actually, he has been like this since the baby was born, and he often goes out for hours at a time on some mysterious quest. Finally Molly, who has been wondering if there is another woman somewhere, discovers what is going on. Joe was adopted as a child by Luise and Martin Kleber, and the sudden presence of his own son has prompted him to search for his biological mother – despite the fact that Luise Kleber is less than delighted at the prospect of a rival for her son‘s affections.

Relieved that their marriage doesn‘t appear threatened after all, Molly starts trying to track down Joe‘s “real“ mother – and comes up with a surprising result. The woman in question is none other than the famous actress Stella Martens, who now suddenly and very suspiciously becomes overwhelmed by her maternal instinct, edges daughter-in-law Molly to one side and does everything she can to make her handsome son part of her own world. Joe seems incapable of resisting the appeal of his prima donna mother, leaving Molly regretting bitterly that she was so successful in her search for her husband‘s other mother.
