East Berlin, 1988. After getting into trouble, Marco only avoids jail thanks to his father, a high-ranking Stasi officer. However, he must accept his father's stipulation that he join the army. Surprisingly, he enjoys military service, especially with the GDR threatened by a tide of revolt. While his father is worried about his future, Marco's mother and girlfriend actively campaign for freedom. Soon it is 9 November 1989, and the Wall comes down, changing their lives forever ...
