He has lost his past, he has lost his roots - but not his enemies...

25 years after dismantling the Loggia brothers' infamous organised crime ring, ex-undercover cop Frank Riva (Alain Delon) is called in to investigate the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of Crime Squad superintendent Marc-Antoine Rezzoni. He soon finds himself once more on the track of the Loggias, forced to confront his memories of a past he thought he had put behind him once and for all.

Frank Riva is a police officer who follows his instinct and refuses to be deflected from his mission, a man who ignores social convention and flouts rules and regulations, living according to his own deep conviction of right and wrong.
