On vacation in Spain, Hanna meets Maximilian Castellhoff, a wealthy young industrialist, but suddenly has to return home without getting his name or phone number. She rushes to tell her best friend Alexandra about the mystery man who stole her heart, but then Alexandra also meets Maximilian and falls in love with him. When all three realize what a cruel hand they've been dealt, it's too late to escape from the web of love, passion, friendship, betrayal and jealousy that fate has woven for them.
