Lost for centuries in the sands of time, the tiny city in the Syrian Desert was an economic powerhouse in Antiquity – and the only city to challenge the dominance of Egypt and the Hittite Kingdom. But it underestimated its mighty neighbors and was destroyed, its treasures forgotten till this day.
