Just before the summer season is about to begin, two women are brutally murdered on Gotland. Inspector Anders (Walter Sittler) realizes that he is dealing here with a serial killer, and that the cases can only be solved when he has discovered how the two victims were related to one another.
Against the enchanting backdrop of the Swedish vacation island of Gotland, Walter Sittler plays Inspector Robert Anders, a German citizen happily married with the Swedish midwife Line (Paprika Steen). The crime series "The Inspector and the Sea" is based on novels by Swedish bestseller author Mari Jungstedt and began with two 90-minute films aired in two consecutive weeks.
