In the dry regions of Africa, water is the key to life – and often to death. For wherever life develops in abundance, deadly hunters are waiting for their chance to strike. Next to the well-known major predators such as lions, leopards and crocodiles, there are also smaller but no less dangerous ones such as spiders and tiger fish, as well as feral canines and felines. This film documents the challenges of everyday life for animals living in and close to seven rivers from South Africa to Kenya.
