A stewardess falls 10,000 meters from an airplane – and survives. A couple is struck by lightning while taking a walk: apart from burst eardrums and a torn poncho, both are fine. “Against All Odds” examines these cases, apparently bordering on the supernatural, with scientific meticulousness. On the basis of eyewitnesses, reconstructed scenes and lavish computer animation, they are reconstructed in great detail. The six-part series proves: reality often exceeds the wildest phantasies.
