The Kalahari Desert! Only few animals can survive for one day without water in this arid nature. And every visit to a waterhole means stress and danger: danger because hungry predators know that their chances of a meal are high there, and stress since the thirsty animals have to fight one another for a few gulps of precious water. The film paints an intimate portrait of the creatures in the African veldt for whom the waterhole is a place to meet – and a place to survive.
