In 1575, Venice is about to suffer unimaginable horror. One of the worst plagues ever to afflict mankind will shortly strike again and kill thousands of people – the Black Death. A legend grows that a vampire-like creature known as “shroud eater” is the cause of it. The shroud eater consumes itself, then feasts on other corpses and rises from the earth to infect the living. What’s the truth behind this myth? Forensic archaeologist Dr. Matteo Borrini has unearthed a “vampire tomb” to find out.
