When penniless musicologist Jakob hears that a Turkish pop label is looking for a summer hit, he decides to go for it – even though Turk-Pop is completely alien to him. To get first-hand experience of the Turkish pop-music scene, he trades his Berlin flat for a place in Istanbul for a long weekend. Finding Istanbul too hectic, however, he’s soon back in Berlin, where his apartment-exchange partner, the young fashion designer Didem, refuses to leave. In fact, she gets Jakob to play her fiancé...
